DWIB Leukaemia Trust was formed with the aim to increase awareness of leukaemia in Africa and create access to effective diagnostic and treatment resources. One of the founders of the organisation was in dire need of a donor and so came to Ghana to see if he could find a match. Abjel took on the task to organise the first ever bone marrow donor recruitment program in Africa. From publicity to event organisation and management, Abjel put together a campaign which resulted in more than 700 people registering to become donors. It was the first bone marrow drive in West Africa.
