Abjel Stands with Nigerian youth

We are deeply saddened by the recent killing of unarmed youth in Nigeria. Like many young people across the globe, Nigeria’s youth have been asking for a better and just country – and they’ve done this mostly peacefully. We were therefore shocked to hear about the indiscriminate shootings by security forces on Tuesday 20th October. Amnesty International says at least 12 young people have died.

The Abjel team would like to send our condolences to the families and loved ones of those who died in the course of demanding for a better Nigeria. May your souls rest in peace, knowing that your colleagues still believe and are fighting on for a better country.

Nigeria’s pain is Africa’s pain.
