US PR Firm Weber Shandwick Quits Egypt Portfolio

US PR Agency, Weber Shandwick is terminating its contract with the Egyptian government just six months after starting work. The Agency was hired in January to help  with public affairs.

A spokesperson at the Agency, Michele Guida said the move to end the contract was a result of a buyout which caused it to review its accounts on behalf of foreign governments.

The firm’s work included all forms of communications to promote Egypt’s strategic partnership with the United States.
